Job description

Chipton Ross is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity in Lansing, MI.

JOB SUMMARY:
o Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, robots, conveyor systems, production machines and other equipment
o Troubleshoot electrical systems including, but not limited to three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives, running electrical conduit, and read electrical prints.
o Perform equipment installation, PMs, and complete assigned projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Maintaining & supporting all equipment in JIT Production Environment and other areas as required.
o Complete all tasks, work orders, & PM's as directed by supervisor in a safe & timely manner.
o Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.
o Perform repairs, rebuild & trouble shoot equipment to ensure production efficiencies are met.
o Daily record all line calls, work orders, PM's & work history electronically in eMaintenance System.
o Complete all required and applicable training required by client.
o Must be willing to work overtime as needed (daily, weekly, shutdowns etc.)
o Must be willing to work any shift on short, but reasonable notice.
o Must continuously improve and develop skills/knowledge.
o Complete all other tasks as requested by the Engineering Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor
o Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear.
o Maintain license to operate a Hilo, Scissor Lift and Articulating Lift
o Excellent attendance and steady work history

REQUIREMENTS:
o 3-5 years of maintenance experience, industrial automotive preferred.
o Journeyman's Card (Accepted)
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Strong presentation skills, detail oriented, adaptability towards change, and teamwork.
o Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.

EDUCATION:
o Accredited High school diploma or equivalent required, certification preferred
o Journeyman's Card (Accepted)

WORK HOURS:
2:00PM-10:00PM (straight 8 hr day), M-F with some Saturdays.
