Job description
We are currently hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Associate.
Shipping & Receiving Associate Job Summary
Perform all daily tasks required of a receiving/shipping clerk. Verify deliveries for quality, quantity, accuracy, and completion to the PO. Enter information into a purchasing software system. Track location of receipts and outgoing shipments. Communicate to supervisor, team members and vendors any issues with the shipment quantity, quality and completeness of the shipment received.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Establish an organized material flow for tracking material in and out of the warehouse.
- Check deliveries for accuracy, quality, quantity and completeness to the purchase order.
- Enter the tracking location of receipts and outgoing shipments into the purchasing software system.
- Communicate any issues, errors, quality, delivery concerns to the Materials Manager, PM, DM, Project Engineers, Vendor and Purchasing department.
- Identify and communicate any errors, discrepancies with shipments and completing daily tasks.
- Cross-reference documentation, including manufacturing records and supplier information, to confirm the accurate origin of each product.
- Ensure all materials received are verified against their respective MTRs.
- Organization of documents-Procedures, qualifications, test reports and weld mapping

- Outstanding knowledge and strong experience across multiple warehouse job categories and business processes.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently, self-starter with ability to prioritize time provide exceptional service.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors your own work to ensure high quality.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
- Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and operating systems to include the ability to learn procurement and inventory management process software systems as needed.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism, patience, and efficiency to minimize internal customer dissatisfaction and increase efficiency.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the company.
- Proven continuous improvement mindset and practices.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field; or equivalent experience in the warehouse, or 7 years’ related experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse and or inventory control with knowledge in the construction industry preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and walking in a warehouse environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Standard work hours: 7:00-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
