Job description
WaferWire is looking for Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring that they are delivered successfully within scope, on time, and within budget. TPMs work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, design, quality assurance, and operations to drive the execution of strategic initiatives.

Project Planning and Execution:
- Responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of products, ideation to shipment.
- Responsible for establishing the Intake process, Release management process in Azure DevOps.
- Work closely with cross functional teams and monitor the deliverable.
- Responsible for running scrum ceremonies and maintaining the artifacts in Azure DevOps.
- Understand the product vision and strategy and build solutions for the user problems.
- Responsible for building the ship room dashboards and leadership status dashboards.
- Responsible for release management tasks, ensuring compliance, accessibility, security, data privacy with partner teams.
- Work closely with User research teams to recruit users for pilot study, A/B tests, prepare intake questionnaires and feedback analysis.
- Quarterly planning -- Drive a team of 10-20 program managers to a clear, consistent quarterly plan expressed in Azure DevOps. Ensure everyone gets their planning items filed on time, police the plans for things that don't add up -- teams that are over budget, dependencies on unscheduled work items, etc.
- Create a structure to understand and prioritize the plan, so it's not a big flat list of random items to do and help management understand what the plan is and communicate what needs to be changed.
- Release tracking -- create clarity on which features are shipping when and bring that clarity to our own team & top partners.
- Partner asks -- track requests from our app development partners and map them to features in our database. Help management see which asks our landing when, and which are off-track.
- Sprint planning -- Work with a series of developer teams on planning their two-week sprints. Give the development manager visibility into what's happening and an opportunity to correct it.
- Bug triage -- route bugs to the right teams and ensure high-priority issues get fixed in an appropriate timeframe.
- Organize spec reviews & feature team reviews -- create a regular time for program managers to review specs, and for management to review feature teams.
- Drive the backlog of topics and get the right people in the room at the right time.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, and team members.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Solicit feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and incorporate suggestions into project plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven experience (8+ years) in technical program management or related roles, preferably in the software industry.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and project management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., DevOps, Microsoft Project, etc.)
