POSITION TITLE: Senior Project Manager
PAY STATUS: Non-exempt

PAY RANGE: up to $140,000
General Responsibilities: A Senior Project Manager in a commercial construction company plays a critical role in overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion.
Significant Duties:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.
- Oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage project teams, including construction managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring each team member understands their role in the project.
- Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other service providers to optimize project costs.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage project risks to ensure they are minimized and do not adversely affect project timelines or budgets.
- Client Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction company and clients.
- Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction projects meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of workmanship and adherence to specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant laws.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree may be preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with a track record of successfully completed projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
