General Summary :
The Coordinator of Dual and Concurrent Enrollment provides support and assistance to the implementation of Early College initiatives and provides outreach to students to support the transition to college. The Coordinator collaborates on Early College initiatives through work with various internal MCC departments and outreach to students, family members, educators, and community leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Support the Dean and Director of Concurrent and Dual Enrollment in the coordination of the K-12 linkages portion of the college's Early College grant activities.
- Collaborate with Admissions & Recruitment, Advising, and Enrollment Management in the creation and expansion of dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, and early college processes.
- Assist with admissions process and course registration processing as needed.
- Collaborate with Admissions & Recruitment, Advising and Enrollment Management to design and continuously improve internal communication systems for information related to early college high schools.
- Assist the Early College team with student outreach, coaching, and family engagement.
- Communicate with and inform high school students, families, educators, and community members about the benefits of Early College.
- Collaborate on Early College initiatives such as student and family informational sessions, summer programming, and additional program outreach.
- Attend regular meetings with MCC departments, high school partners, the Department of Higher Education, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and other community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Director of Concurrent/Dual Enrollment and the Enrollment Management Center to process applications, registrations, multiple measures forms, and transcripts at the beginning of each semester.
- Collaborate with high school partners (faculty, administration, and support staff) to identify needs and strengthen support for early college students and their families.
- Collaborate with MCC Deans & Department Chairs.
- Collaborate with LHS/Nashoba Valley Deans & Department Chairs.
- Assists in the performance of administrative tasks associated with department activities.
- May be responsible for coordination of assigned staff within the department.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the work
- 3 years experience and/or training in college registration, academic advisement, career development, career experience, training, curriculum development, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, and administrative work in an academic environment
- Evidence of the ability to learn quickly, and to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including listening skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the use of databases and other computer-based technologies
- Ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with area schools, students, and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and goals
- Experience with equity-minded work and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, veterans, and individuals with different academic preparation levels and varying physical and learning abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in student services preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus
Additional Information: Salary Range : $63,288 is the starting salary for a Grade 5 position with a Bachelor's Degree; actual salary commensurate with academic background and experience. Location : Lowell campus with occasional travel to Bedford and high schools as needed
Hours : 37.5 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire, This position will be eligible for a maximum of two days of telework in accordance with the College's telework policy .
