Job Description
The Clinical Dietitian serves as the Food and Nutrition Services representative in patient care activities. Responsible for providing basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients. Performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of optimal nutritional care and education of patients/staff in accordance with established standards of care. Complies with business practices to uphold the hospitals mission and values.
Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree in Nutrition / Dietetics Registration/ Certification: Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration within six months of hire.
Connecticut State Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CD-N) within six months of hire.
Years of Experience: 0-3 year of acute care experience
SKILLS Read and interpret written/ oral instructions.
Sets and meets deadlines, prioritizes work, and works independently.
Identifies and understands issues and problems.
Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of oral or written communications.
Excellent customer service skills
Basic computer knowledge
Must be flexible and able to adapt to change.
