Job description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our dynamic team within the Government Defense & Intelligence sector. As a Senior Cloud Security Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining robust, secure application environments within the Department of Defense (DoD).

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain large-scale, secure application environments in alignment with DoD security guidelines and standard methodologies.
Stay abreast of updates and changes to security posture within the DoD, including emerging concepts like Zero Trust and Micro-segmentation.
Deep understanding of underlying software tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Microservices, Kubernetes, and GitLab.
Familiarity with DoD security tools including ACAS, HBSS, Splunk, and Centrify.
Work closely with customers to assess their current security posture and provide recommendations for enhancing cloud security.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to develop initial cloud architectures for complex environments and provide ongoing recommendations for improvement.
Assist in the accreditation process within the DoD and have experience with one or more accreditations of environments or applications.
Proficient in at least one Commercial Cloud environment, with a preference for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Solid understanding of Oracle stack components used in OCI, including Oracle RDBMS, Labeling Technologies, OBIEE, and WebLogic.
Ability to work with both internal personnel and external customers to communicate recommendations, migration strategies, and transition paths to OCI.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Active Secret Clearance is required.
Proven experience in implementing large, secure application environments within the Department of Defense.
In-depth knowledge of enterprise architectures and security guidelines for the DoD.
Strong understanding of Cloud Native Foundation (CNF) and common use tools.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment and travel occasionally to meet with Mission Partners.
