IT Operations Team Lead

The Opportunity
The IT Operations Team Lead will carry the day to day operation of US West IT infrastructure and services for manufacturing and distribution, commercial offices and mobile /home workers.
This permanent role will report to the GBS Senior Manager Global IT Operations.
- Lead a 24x7 multi-disciplinary technical team in the day to day management of US West IT infrastructure services
- Lead the key on-site (and regional) resolver group for support where necessary and acting as the link between Service Desk and Users
- In conjunction with the Director global IT Operations and Global IT Operations deliver IT operations’ services for regional IT infrastructure and services and ensure all global IT operations standards/policies adhered across the US West team
- Coordinate regional team activities with Director US IT Operations & Support
- Lead the key on-site (and regional) support for H/W and S/W rollouts
- Operational services include: All end user support including desktop applications, mobile devices, collaboration and productivity infrastructure, etc. / Regional on-site incident resolution as escalated from Service Desk / Regional hardware lifecycle management including ordering and deployment of Glanbia standard hardware / Regional hardware build activities, in coordination with Deployment/Technical Projects/Infrastructure Projects team / Regional software deployment of Glanbia standard builds to clients and servers / Regional server management / Regional infrastructure including weigh bridges, scanners, kiosks, voice picking, etc. / Regional print management / Regional telephony support / Site access control / Support for the deployment of local projects
- Measure, monitor and report to businesses on IT asset (SW/HW) consumption
- Support for the delivery of local projects to agreed designs, timeframes and budgets
- Staff management including objective setting, performance reviewing, prioritisation, mentoring and training
- Care for and develop our teams through addressing all areas that allow them to progress in their work and to expand their capabilities.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- 3rd Level relevant technical qualification and senior design and architectural experience in a global organization
- Proven track record Leadership and People management across regional IT operations teams
- Foster a regional approach to IT Operations
- Facilitate team structures to enable delivery of services regionally
- Vendor management experience
- Relationship management with regional users and wider internal teams
- Procurement: Capex, revenue budget preparation & revenue budget management
