Buscamos un reportero/a independiente que esté ubicado en Austin, TX, para cubrir las noticias que impactan a la comunidad hispana. Tus notas tendrán créditos en nuestros medios digitales e impresos, también tus productos escritos estarán presentes en redes sociales. Detalles de servicio:

• Hacer seguimiento de las historias aprobadas por tu contacto de la empresa, nuestro Coordinador de Noticias
• Desarrollar ideas para historias basadas en indicios o según lo asignado mediante entrevistas y realización de investigaciones.
• Escribir historias usando la gramática adecuada, asegurándose al mismo tiempo de que sean interesantes.
• Hacer sugerencias sobre historias relevantes para los hispanos de la zona.
• Organizar y realizar entrevistas cuando sea necesario; obtener información de expertos o líderes comunitarios.
• Crear relaciones con miembros de la comunidad, del gobierno, de la oficina consular, de la fuerza policial, y de otras agencias para tener fuentes creíbles.
• Proporcionar material sin editar para historias en vídeo y entrevistas.
• Cumplir con todos los plazos para los proyectos según lo solicitado por el Coordinador de Noticias.
• Se requieren habilidades verbales y escritas con fluidez en español; preferiblemente bilingüe (español e inglés).

Are you skilled at telling a story that is engaging? If you have the skills and ability to put together a story based on facts, we have an opportunity for you. We are looking for a freelance reporter who can cover news stories that impact Hispanics in the area. You will receive credit on our digital and print newspaper as well as on social media for articles, videos, pictures, and other content provided. If you have a passion for informing the Hispanic community in the Austin area about topics that matter to them, you will fit in great with our team!

Details of Service: 

• Follow up on approved stories from your company contact, our News Coordinator. 
• Develop story ideas based on leads or as assigned by interviewing and conducting research.
• Write stories using proper grammar while also ensuring they're engaging.
• Make suggestions on stories relevant to Hispanics in the area.
• Arrange and conduct interviews when needed; get information from experts or community leaders.
• Create relationships with members of the community, government, consular office, law enforcement and other agencies to have credible sources. 
• Provide raw footage for video stories and interviews. 
• Meet all deadlines for projects as requested by News Coordinator. 
• Verbal & written fluent Spanish language skills required; bilingual preferred. (Spanish & English)
