Overview:

As an Executive Sous Chef at Uncle Jack's Steakhouse, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. You will lead a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, creating a positive and collaborative working environment. Your creativity and expertise will be showcased as you develop and execute innovative menus that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the culinary team, providing guidance and support
• Create and execute innovative menus that showcase the best of our brand
• Collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to set item prices
• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide a seamless dining experience
• Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives
• Maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations
• Identify and introduce new culinary techniques.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as an Executive Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role
• Expert knowledge of the restaurant or organization’s cuisine.
• Advanced culinary skills including food preparation, flavor pairings and other cooking best practices.\\
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local food handling regulations.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Comfortable training, directing and supervising kitchen staff.
• Excellent knowledge of BOH systems, ordering and inventory.
• Exceptional leadership skills, including motivation and goal setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Time management and organization.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Location: 3940 Bell Blvd, Queens, NY 11361 (Bayside)

Salary: $72,800.00 - $92,000.00 per year
