Position Overview: As the Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and providing strategic financial insights. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of healthcare financial management and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and healthcare industry standards.
   • Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management and stakeholders.

2. Healthcare Compliance:

   • Stay current with healthcare regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
   • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
   • Monitor budget performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights for decision-making.

4. Cost Analysis:

   • Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
   • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

5. Audit Support:

   • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including those conducted by healthcare regulatory bodies.
   • Provide documentation and explanations during audits to ensure compliance.

6. General Ledger Management:

   • Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
   • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.

7. Financial Systems:

   • Utilize healthcare financial systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
   • Provide training and support to finance team members on system usage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant, with a focus on healthcare financial management.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and healthcare accounting principles.
• Proficiency in healthcare financial software and systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
