Job description

Are you a commercial interiors construction professional looking to relocate to the great state of Texas? 

GPAC, a reputable recruitment firm with over 30 years of construction industry experience, is partnering with a leading commercial interiors companies that are committed to delivering exceptional solutions. We are currently seeking experienced Commercial Drywall Project Manager(s) to join our dynamic team and oversee the successful execution of commercial drywall and framing projects in the following cities: Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. 

Relocation resources are available for qualifying candidates.  

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate project teams, including drywall installers and subcontractors, to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project milestones, expectations, and updates.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Create and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
• Monitor costs, identify variances, and implement cost-control measures as needed.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and enforce quality standards for drywall installation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds industry and company standards.

Client Communication:

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Manage client expectations and communicate any changes to project scope or timeline.

Contract Administration:

• Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

Safety and Compliance:

• Uphold and enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site.
• Collaborate with the safety team to conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with a focus on drywall projects.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial drywall construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and project management software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in managing commercial drywall projects.
