What You'll Do: - Evaluates students, identifies and documents goals, and participates in Intervention or Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing direct motor-based occupational therapy services as directed.
- Coordinates and communicates with teachers, staff, and parent(s) about student therapy plans and strategies that address motor skill areas such as but not limited to independent daily living skills, gross motor, functional mobility, fine motor, and visual motor.
- Modifies the educational environment; provides adaptive equipment for student access; and trains classroom personnel to properly lift and transfer students, use adaptive equipment and wheelchairs, and provide other services.
- Follows compliance laws for meeting federal and state mandates as well as local policies in the performance of duties such as Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, Medicaid billing, and report writing.
What You'll Need: - Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License - Occupational Therapist.
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Ability to travel throughout the District.
- Bilingual in Spanish or another language is preferred
