Job description
InfraHire is looking for a CNC Programmer in Norfolk, VA
seeking a qualified CNC Programmer to join our team. They will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce parts according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC programming and a passion for precision and accuracy. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of relevant experience working in a design and manufacturing environment. This position will require a highly energetic, fully engaged, forward-thinking individual. Due to the nature of the work this position must be a US citizen.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years related experience is preferred
- Language skills - effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and solid models
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations involving basic geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments
- Ability to work in a team setting
PREFERRED MACHINING SKILLS
- Experience with Mastercam
- Full understanding of GD & T tolerancing
- Experienced with programming for milling, turning
- Understanding of G&M code programming
- Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, manual milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, band saw, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment
Experience:
- CNC programmer: 4 years (Required)
- Mastercam programming for milling and turning: 2 years (Preferred)
- Precision machining: 2 years (Preferred)
- GD & T tolerancing: 3 years (Preferred)
- Autocad: 2 years (Preferred)
