We are seeking a Plant Safety Coordinator to join our team.

Job summary:
The Plant Safety Coordinator will create safety plans and procedures for the truss plant. The Safety Coordinator reports to the Safety Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Works with Truss Manager and Assistant Production Manager to create safety meeting materials and PTT’s.
• Conducts safety training, this includes forklift training for plant personnel.
• Updates current safety program.
• Performs inspections in the plant.
• Conducts monthly safety training for plant personnel.
• Assists in creating new hire orientations for the plant.
• Reviews and update JSA’s as needed.
• Creates a database for plant training records.
• Conducts accident investigations for plant personnel.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 3 years of general industry safety experience.
• OSHA 30 Certification General Industry.
• Knowledge of general industry terminology.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English.
• Familiar with company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and recognize safety standards and issue.

Physical Requirements:
• Extended periods of time working on a computer.
• Lift up to 15 pounds.
