BILINGUAL INSIDE SALES SPECIALIST
As an Inside Sales Specialist, you must be bilingual, you will be responsible providing a high degree of service for all assigned customers by ensuring responsive communication, timely and accurate entry and/or documentation of information, internal and external coordination, and any other activities related to supporting exceptional customer service, quality, and on-time delivery goals. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, gathering information from Processor customers, distributors, or other sources to generate accurate quotations and enter orders in the ERP system. This position is responsible for interacting with customers to provide product deliveries, basic product technical information, generating customer material return authorizations (CMA) documents, clarifying customer order commercial details and other customer related queries.
Your Responsibilities:
- Interfaces with assigned customers verbally (typically via phone or video conferencing) or in writing, by reading and interpreting processor blueprints, and by soliciting information to effectively define customer needs.
- Interacts with assigned customers and internal departments to effectively manage all activity, delivery updates, expedited projects, stocking agreements, etc. to meet customer expectations and company objectives.
- Generates clear and concise quotations through the ERP system in an accurate and timely manner for all assigned customers; utilizes Excel quote tools and blueprints to provide accurate pricing based on the information supplied.
- Provides support, documentation and order entry in a manner that ensures complete, accurate and timely entry and communication of information to achieve quality, on-time delivery, and other company objectives.
- Follows up on outstanding quotes on a timely basis to ensure receipt, provide any required clarification, assist in status updates, and order closure process to achieve company objectives for bookings.
- Proactively manages all customer-related projects including repairs, CMA’s, warranties, and standard orders from generation to completion.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the customer and internal functions such as engineering, planning, manufacturing, and shipping.
- Attends and participate in all sales activities including, sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions, and other items as required.
- Travels to customer locations on an as-needed basis to attend meetings, support customer needs, or for other general business purposes; less than 10% travel.
- Manages customer purchasing portals and collaborates with the accounting department to ensure proper use of customer portals for invoicing and shipping.
- Provides back up for other inside sales specialists in times of high activity or absence as needed to meet overall customer expectations and company objectives.
Work Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer service or inside/outside sales role
- Proven experience dealing with a product where blueprint reading, and technical product specifications are critical.
Work Experience Preferred:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with injection molding and/or extrusion preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in the plastics processing industry.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine operations and processes related to manufacturing parts (precision machining, fabrication).
Education and Skills:
- High School diploma (required), degree in engineering or business administration (preferred)
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Proficiency with ERP navigation for the purpose of entering, managing, and researching information.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other technical specifications.
- Excellent organizational skills to support the efficient management of a multi-faceted role.
- Highly detail oriented to ensure accuracy within all aspects of essential responsibilities.
- Sense of urgency and proactive to meet time constraints in a deadline driven environment.
- Demonstrated negotiation, relationship management, and facilitation skills to assist with order closure and coordination of activities to meet customer demands.
- Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication and collaboration both internally and externally.
- Ability to fluently speak, write and understand English. Other languages may be required as defined by assigned territories.
