POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities, banking, managing outside services providers, and directing the accounting function of a multi-million-dollar business. This role will also be responsible for monthly closing and reporting, leadership team support, and continued evolution and organization of accounting information.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Monthly journal entries and monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Payroll and general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax and quarterly Commercial Activity Tax
- Oversee and manage payroll tax filings
- Complete workers’ compensation filings
- Manage the QuickBooks system
- Perform accounting projects as needed including but not limited to food and labor cost analysis, credit card processing review, financial statement development, annual budgeting, capital expenditures budgeting and cash and financial forecasting.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 4+ years in accounting roles including previous experience as a Senior Accountant
- Internal and external financial reporting development
- Financial systems management (QuickBooks preferred)
- Prior experience in the restaurant/hospitality industries highly preferred
