SAIC is looking for a Senior Technical Trainer with excellent communication and presentation skills to support our NASA customer developing and delivering the training program for NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM). The successful candidate should demonstrate technical training experience, a high degree of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and experience with or a willingness to learn the Salesforce platform. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually, based on requirements. Training will be delivered on usage and capabilities of OSTEM applications to the stakeholder and user community.
- Create, test, update, and maintain training materials (e.g. videos, handouts, PowerPoint slides) that meet 508 compliance requirements.
- Create, update, and maintain training material for use by internal and external users.
- Present and moderate training sessions onsite and virtually, as required.
- Track and report training that has been scheduled and/or completed.
- Provide support in planning and creating documentation (e.g. knowledge articles), as needed.
- Stay current on new and existing course-related features and technology innovations.
- Maintain monthly course registration documents, training schedules, and agendas.
- Keep and report data on completed courses, surveys, issues, etc.
- Observe, evaluate, and prepare weekly and monthly reports about specific training delivered.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of programs, communicate recommendations, and make improvements based on manager’s feedback.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's and 5 years of experience; or a Master's and 3 years of experience; or a PhD and 0 years of experience.
Desired Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/technology or related field and 3-5 of experience
Required Experience:
- Excellent communication and comfortable speaking in a virtual setting.
- Demonstrated experience as technical trainer
- Knowledge of current training techniques and tools
- Experience in designing technical and business course content
- Working knowledge in MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
- The training professional must be able to multi-task in a team-oriented environment
- Keen attention to details and organizational/time-management skills
- Must be Dependable/Reliable and Adaptable/Flexible
Desired Experience:
- Degree in Adult Learning/Education
- Windows 10/MAC OS High Sierra or newer
- Microsoft Office O365
- Jira and/or Azure DevOp
- Adobe Acrobat DC Pro
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with the Salesforce Platform
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
