Summary of Responsibilities

The Senior Carpenter is directly accountable for on-site field supervision, excelling in carpentry, scheduling, planning, jobsite safety, and troubleshooting. They guarantee strict adherence to company policies, ensuring high customer satisfaction within the construction contract. Additionally, they actively implement efficient processes and, being an advocate for organization, oversee the tracking and maintenance of all tools, equipment, and supply inventory.

Essential Functions

• Lead carpentry activities effectively.
• Supervise and motivate laborers and carpenters.
• Coordinate with office for project updates.
• Conduct training sessions for carpenters.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and cost updates.
• Collaborate on additional work requests with the Project Manager.
• Participate in inspections and report project issues.
• Efficiently manage material orders.
• Prioritize job safety and uphold discipline standards.
• Manage company tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Attend weekly progress meetings.
• Perform various duties for successful project completion.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• 5+ years in a leadership role
• 5+ years' experience in a carpentry trade
• General computer skills
• Higher Education preferred
