Mid Systems Engineer Location Sterling, VA : Today Top Secret/SCI Unspecified Polygraph IT - Software Sterling, VA (ON-SITE/OFFICE) Mid Systems Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US Anticipated Posting End: 5/1/2024 What you get to do: Work on a multi-contractor team to design, develop, and maintain a modern web application that enables space operators to analyze large amounts of data in a timely manner to facilitate decision making. More About the Role: - Interface with Program Systems Engineers to understand requirements and provide feedback
- Interface with Software and Integration Engineers to containerize, test, and deploy services
- Assist the program team to provide demonstrations to stakeholders
- Provide systems engineering support across multiple phases of the systems engineering lifecycle to include technical planning, CONOP development, requirement analysis, system design, scheduling, system integration, verification and validation, training, cost and risk assessment
- Provide end-to-end systems engineering support for the COP team
- Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
- Provide feedback to the developers relating to operational functionality concerns
- Provide support to system maintainers for investigation of operational issues
You'll Bring These Qualifications : - Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- 3 years of experience in systems engineering for information technology
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Ability to break down high-level tasking into smaller units of work and self-manage development progress in working toward set deadlines
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to articulate design concepts and technology benefits.
- Understanding of repeatable automated processes for building an application, testing it, documenting it, and deploying it at scale
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have : - AWS certification
- Experience with Scrum teams and use of continuous integration tools and techniques
- Experience with development tools such as Git / Bitbucket, Confluence / Jira
- NRO experience
