Job description

Come join our growing facility in Connecticut that has been around for over 30 years! We specialize in injection molding and pad printing for the medical, industrial, and military industries. We are actively growing our company and would like to bring someone on board who has a passion for building cutting edge systems! 

Position Overview:  The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining guidelines and procedures for the manufacturing process and ensuring they are correctly followed by the production team. They will also be responsible for day-to-day monitoring of the manufacturing process and will be expected to continuously improve production efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop manufacturing processes for new products and design modifications of existing products. 
• Monitor and analyze production methods to identify areas of improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain accurate documentation of the production process.
• Train and mentor production team members on the production process and ensure they are meeting quality standards.
• Develop Six Sigma methodology for process improvement and implement it into the production process.
• Lead and coordinate process improvement projects and initiatives.
• Work with other departments to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other tasks as required.
  

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field. 
• 3-5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or related field. 
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
• Ability to lead and coordinate process improvement projects and initiatives. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. 
• Nice to Have:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PLC Programming and Allen Bradley software. 
  • Six Sigma certifications
