Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform Installation and initial starts-ups and provide 24/7 on-call emergency services as required
- Support GE Factory Production as needed
- Maintain, safeguard company-issued tools and equipment
- Preferred experience in troubleshooting & repair of electrical control circuits
- Preferred experience in mechanical assembly of circuit breakers
- Operate man lifts and reach fork truck
- Work at height
- Compliance with GE Safety and Customer Site Regulations
- Supervise contractors and or customer supplied laborers.
- Protect company proprietary information
- Complete paperwork in a timely and accurate manner including Field Service Reports, timecards and expense reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electrical and or Mechanical Technology or a highly related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience manufacturing
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within the US and abroad via air travel and car rental
Desired Characteristics:
- Ability to rent a car
- Ability to attain a Passport
- Credit within good standing to acquire a company credit card
- Ability to deal with customers in difficult situations maintaining professional demeanor in order to satisfy Customer demands
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, procedures, travel and obtain security clearance when necessary.
- Preferred knowledge and/or experience with high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessment
- Proven reasoning abilities and sound judgment with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have very good organizational skills to plan work scope, personnel, and equipment logistics
- Must be familiar with OSHA safety practices and perform duties within specified guidelines to ensure safety of self and supporting crew, training will be provided
- Must be highly motivated and a team player; must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity
