Job description

The Director of Operations supports all department managers and physicians; oversees ancillary departments including Allergy and Audiology; oversees all office sites; has strong analytic and problem-solving skills, assisting with administrative duties as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures
- Implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations
- Work with marketing to strategize continued growth of the practice, alternate offices, and ancillary services
- Offer guidance with patient inquiries across all departments and ensure patient satisfaction with the practice
- Assist in onboarding of new staff members, including physicians and all departments
- Work closely with all offices to ensure employee compliance with office protocol
- Monitor schedules to determine efficiencies and accuracy
- Assist managers in overseeing departments, including covering for a manager when they are out of the office
- Create and administer tools to aid in team building
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency in the workplace
- Coordinate work with all other departments
- Assist in the evaluation of all personnel, participates in the development of key performance indicators for each position
- Assists in ensuring all staff have the adequate tools and equipment to perform their work efficiently
- Speaks with patients who have concerns or feedback
- Ensures work environments are adequate and safe
- Participate in initiatives to support quality measure reporting
- Support, educate, and monitor operational metrics and performance coupled with the backing for interventions to achieve targets
- Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions
- Attends all work-related meetings and functions as needed
- Self-education through webinars and conferences
- Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by Administrator and Physicians
- Oversees purchasing, and departments, ensuring each is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's preferred
- Minimum two years of recent experience working in a physician's office
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Knowledge of EHRs
- Ability to cross-train with other departments
- Ability to delegate when appropriate
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to recommend and implement new protocols: clinical and business
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Willing to travel to alternate office locations on a frequent basis
