About the Job The University of Minnesota's Medical School, Department of
Urology invites nominations and applications for the position for a renewable 12-month (100%) appointment. Ideal candidates will have
demonstrated expertise in engineering applications to neuro or functional urology though others will also be considered.
The primary
purposes of this role are to:
1) Develop and maintain independent, vigorous, externally-funded research programs in engineering related
to urology.
2) To collaborate with clinical faculty in research design, analysis, reporting, publishing, and grant award
processes.
In order to accomplish these goals the candidate must be able to prioritize and manage both independent and collaborative
research projects. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment and be able to develop the
stakeholder relationships necessary to accomplish project goals.
Qualifications Candidates must have attained
the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor and must have a PhD or MD or equivalent degree and demonstrated scholarly expertise in
engineering applications to urology. In addition, the ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to maintain a federally funded research
program.
