Physician assistant’s schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5 pm.
Your Mission as Ultrasound Technologist: Your essential mission as a Vein911 Vein Care Ultrasound Technologist is to performg ultrasounds for diagnostic and medical treatment of various conditions. You will assist Vein Care Specialists (VCS) by doing preparatory work and capturing images as part of treatment supervised by the VCS. You will be responsible for the maintenance, backup procedures, operation, and training on the use of ultrasound equipment in the practice’s office.
Some of our Ultrasound Technologist’s duties and responsibilities: - Demonstrate proficiency in the performance of ultrasound procedures, including the ability to guide Ultrasound Guided Endovenous Radio Frequency Ablations to Greater Saphenous, Anterior Greater and Small Saphenous Veins.
- Guide Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy to Greater Saphenous and Small Saphenous Veins, including AAGSV, PAGSV and all other tributaries.
- Perform urgent / emergent Ultrasound Scan.
- Perform Doppler scan and vein mapping on both Deep and Superficial Venous System.
- Document findings in patients’ charts at each visit.
- Prepare patients for procedures and explains ultrasound procedures to patients.
- Provide oral and written summary of preliminary findings to vein care specialists.
- Maintain all US machines, including use, turn-over, cleaning, backups, and transporting as needed.
- File ultrasound gel bottles, as needed. Checked weekly.
- Stock US rooms and machines for each day’s patients.
- Wipe down machines at the end of the day.
- Prepare medicines used during Foam Sclerotherapy and Radio Frequency Ablations.
- Count inventory, puts inventory away and keeps supplies orderly.
- Other duties as assigned and incidental to the work.
Required experience and qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Two years’ experience performing ultrasound technology duties in a vascular setting preferred
- Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. In addition to, Registered Phlebology Sonographer, Registered Vascular Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist (RPHS, RVS, RVT)
- Demonstrate ability to promote quality improvement through maintenance of professional and ethical standards.
- Ability to maintain professional conduct in all work-related situations.
- Experience working with computer systems; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
