Position Summary
Deliver a safe and patient-focused environment for procedures as an Endoscopy Nurse. In this role, you will be a trusted member of the patient care team. You will be responsible for admission and discharge of patients, assist with procedures and provide Physicians with key observations.You will play a key role in our hospital's mission of Putting Patients First, ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care. Perform, adapt and safely demonstrate procedures required by patients according to policies and procedures, administers medications accurately and safely, and documents according to policies and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Active NJ State Nursing License and Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
BCLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
Must be capable of performing tasks that require dexterity, coordination, strength, flexibility, endurance, as inherent in normal assignment
Superior customer service and excellent communication skills
Two years experience as an Endoscopy or Gastroenterology RN required
Previous experience processing instruments and assisting in Endoscopy procedures
