Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-11. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.



To be qualified for this position at the GS-09 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience for this position includes:- Utilizing a wide range of systems or databases to search beyond readily accessible material to analyze, index, and manage records; AND- Performing record maintenance and preservation in adherence with archival principles, procedures, or record keeping practices.



OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such adegree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.



OR COMBINATION: You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.

To be qualified for this position at the GS-07 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience for this position includes:- Performing record maintenance and preservation in adherence with archival principles, procedures and record keeping practices; AND- Providing customer service or guidance with record research and access services.



OR EDUCATION: 1 full year of graduate level education.



OR SUPERIOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: Based on a Bachelors degree that is demonstrated through class standing (upper 1/3 of class); grade point average (3.0/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major), or election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society.



OR COMBINATION: You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the specialized experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the educational requirement must equal at least 100 percent.
