Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Process Optimization to lead our Specialty Materials business unit's Process Optimization Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing and optimizing manufacturing processes across various departments, including melting, hot-working, finishing, laboratory machining, and inspections, with a focus on safety, equipment performance, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate complex technical concepts and requirements effectively to all levels of staff, from shop floor personnel to senior management.
• Employ a data-driven, scientifically rigorous approach to problem-solving.
• Champion root cause analysis and implement sustainable long-term countermeasures.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure, maintaining emotional intelligence and adhering to deadlines.
• Spearhead change initiatives across the business, leading advancement and cost-saving activities.
• Drive equipment optimization and material application, developing strategies for automation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Engineering teams to identify and justify capital investments.
• Adopt and integrate industry best practices into business processes.
• Oversee continuous product/process improvement programs.
• Handle personnel management, including talent development, performance evaluation, hiring, and corrective actions in alignment with company policies.
• Coordinate and provide technical oversight of team activities, working with planning on operational scheduling through innovative techniques.
• Lead team-based, cross-functional continuous improvement efforts, including risk assessments and process audits.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 7 years of experience in leading Manufacturing Process Optimization or Continuous Improvement teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated expertise in Process Engineering.

Base Salary:

Base Salary:
You will be offered a competitive base salary ranging from $180,000 to $210,000 annually, which acknowledges the strategic importance of your role.
