Job Summary:
About the Role & Program
This position presents an exciting opportunity to work within the Financial Reporting team for Domestic Linear Networks. This team handles the consolidation of Domestic Disney Channels, Freeform, FX Networks, National Geographic, ABC Television Network and Owned Television Stations. In addition, this team works with Affiliate Relations, Advertising Sales and Finance partners.
What You Will Do
This role is mainly responsible for assisting in the consolidation and reporting effort for the Linear Networks Reporting team. The role will involve working on the quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet and related schedules. It will also encompass preparing and analyzing multiple reports, deliverables, and ad hoc projects. Other responsibilities will include:
- Assist in preparation of Consolidation Domestic Linear Networks financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)
- Analyze and reconcile Business Unit submissions to system generated reports
- Assist in consolidation of quarterly Representation Letter package
- Investigate variances and other ad hoc projects and requests
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks
- Proficient in Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Education
- Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year studying accounting, finance, economics, or other business-related fields
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
- Must be at 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship areĀ June through December 2024
- Must be available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship; 40 hours each week during the summer and 20-24 hours each week during the fall.
- Must provide own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program in theĀ Glendale, CA area . Also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
