Senior Project Manager

As a Barclays Senior Project Manager, you will manage complex, highly visible programs or projects that cut across the business, operations, and technology by developing a plan, being responsible for analysing potential risks and benefits, collaborating with your business partners to land on the best solutions, and driving your team to deliver through completion and ensuring compliance with Barclays policies and standards. What will you be doing?
• Managing large projects with multiple business, operations, and technology stakeholders
• Being responsible for organizing project delivery cadence and run effective discussions with senior leadership and project team
• Coordinating overall project documentation across all bank functions including requirements, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, weekly status reports
• Defining, creating and updating project plan, tracking upcoming deliverables and ensuring completion of project milestones and tasks
• Being responsible for driving financial accountability and transparency through budget management, monitoring and reporting of forecast vs. actuals
• Ensuring projects are completed according to time and budget schedules, and that objectives conform to line of business' overall standards, operations objectives
• Leading and managing a team of tech and operations project managers and recognizing potential risks or issues quickly, escalate effectively, and build remediation plans
• Being responsible for leveraging project management best practices and applying lessons learned from completed projects
What we’re looking for:
• Several years’ project management experience, managing projects, leading teams; experience in SAFE Agile/RTE role
• Proven ability to manage and influence resources to deliver to intended outcomes in a matrixed environment and exceptional time management skills
• Cool, calm, collected, and collaborative; works well under pressure and comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments
• Ability to effectively lead through ambiguity and develop project plans, manage individual and team deadlines and goals
Skills that will help you in the role:
• More than four years’ experience working in Financial Services
• Budget management experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies and tools(JIRA, Confluence)
• PMP/PMI/RTE certification, LEAN is a plus
