Responsibilities
The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist supervises the day to day operation of a designated section(s) of the Clinical Laboratory. Individuals are assigned responsibilities which encompass a wide variety of administrative fiscal and technical activities to ensure the efficient operation of his/her section(s). The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist also works as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Centers strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.
Qualifications
Four years experience working under a qualified College of American Pathologist Medical Director in an acute hospital clinical laboratory
State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License OR Registration as a Specialist by the ASCP or AABB in an individual category
Registration as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists is preferred
Masters Degree is preferred.
Pay Range
$53.80 - $63.95 /hour
