Job description
The team is looking for a Junior Construction Field Representative focused on Electrical to oversee the construction for the Batavia Dry Project.
MUST HAVE: Construction experience in a food/CPG manufacturing environment.
The Electrical Construction Field Representative contractor will provide client with onsite professional services, including providing engineering inspection and control to support quality workmanship, safe environment, job project staffing, schedule adherence, QA/QC activities and follow up action items. The Electrical Field Representative will provide daily and weekly reports to the Site Management Team. Activities will include but not be limited to the following:
Oversee specific work area from an Owners Electrical Field Representative standpoint
Perform Electrical & Controls Point to Point checkout prior to Programmers coming onsite
Perform MCC Checkout, PLC Address Verification, VFD IP Address and Motor Checkout activities prior to Programmers coming onsite
Ensure Controls Panels are properly laid out, labeled, terminated and validated prior to Programmers coming onsite
Coordinate and Communicate between client Corporate, Factory, Contractors and Programmers to ensure Checkouts are properly validated prior to Controls Programmer coming onsite and support during startup
Coordinate daily installation activities with construction contractors while effectively communicating to all stakeholders
Manage the extra work order (EWO) process to include updating and tracking the EWO log.
Ensure subcontractors weekly quality control inspection reports are completed - inclusive of weekly tests and inspection on key areas
Set and drive a culture of safety, communication, teamwork and accountability
Be in the field supporting all aspects of project execution based on daily schedule and look-ahead schedule to mitigate risk, hold contractors accountable to client installation quality and workmanship.
Ensure a safe working environment based on client H&S specifications
Review design vs. installation planning in the field to ensure proper installation and avoid clashes
Build and/or maintain critical path schedules to ensure program status is communicated to appropriate stakeholders - including critical look-aheads for overall project & sub-projects
Validating and performing redlines for final as-built documentation
Inspection/Verification
Installation (including materials), plans & specifications, contracts, equipment (purchased by client)
Adherence to clients safety protocols
Day to Day Spokesperson
Contractors
Plant
Engineering (including contracted consulting firms)
Vendor representatives
Make sure the latest (or correct) drawings are being used
Discrepancy reports
Accident report review and approval
Weekly job meetings with published notes
Punchlist Focus for plant, contractor, engineering
Construction and value engineering review
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education :
OHSA 30; CPR Training; Fall Protection is a plus
Experience :
Some technical experience like pipe fitting, mechanical, electrical, construction projects is required
Industrial services technician background or similar
Skills :
Minimum of 3 years software applications experience: MS Office 365 including Teams, SharePoint; BIM360
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Requires daily walking through a construction site
Steel toe shoes are required, and to be provided by the worker at own expense (job requirement)
