Job description
The job includes the review and entry of detailed data from confidential commercial fisher supplied reports containing information about fishing trips conducted waters or adjacent federal waters. Data are entered both into a spreadsheet and occasionally a web-based system. Regular communication with supervising staff regarding content and entry is expected.
The hired candidate will be fluent in the use of the Office 365 suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, have excellent communications skills, be a quick learner, and be able to critically think about the data they review and key-punch. Other programs frequently used by staff are Adobe Acrobat, Trello, and a permitting application. Familiarity with commercial fisheries is a plus but not required. This position is not remote and is located at the Gloucester office of the Division of Marine Fisheries.Commercial fisheries data entry
