Job description

Remote OR Hybrid: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Concord, NC, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The Role

We are seeking a Simulation Software and Controls Engineer to aid in the development of our simulation toolchain in GM Motorsports. You will help develop the complete toolchain for a standalone simulation tool, starting from R&D to project planning, and implementation of both back and front end. Using software best practices, you will develop software and hardware solutions for DiL toolchain development. Your knowledge of deploying highly efficient, RT capable models as FMU’s, and the associated back-end programming will guide you to successfully deliver all projects to the highest standards, on time and within budget.

-Develop new simulation toolchain

-Provide software development for simulation

-Software development for DiL program and other XiL initiatives

-Participant in introducing new technologies and standards to in-house simulation software

Additional

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

-2 years of industry experience in vehicle control software development

-Familiar with FMI standard and deploying FMU’s in co-simulation and model exchange

-Knowledgeable in some areas below with curiosity and initiative to learn others:

+ Languages: C#, Java, C/C++, SQL , CSS , Modelica

+ Applications: Visual Studio, Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA , Toad for Oracle

+ Application Server: Tomcat, IIS

+ Database Systems: MongoDB, Couchbase, MSSQL , Oracle SQL Server

+ Frameworks: Telerik, Mahapps, Vaadin, Spring

+ Subversioning: Git, TortoiseSVN

-Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed

-High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, take initiative/self-directed

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

-F1, NASCAR , or Indy car experience

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

- The salary range for this role is ($72,400 – $115,700). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
