Responsibilities

General Dynamics Corporate Headquarters is looking for an ambitious Information Technology (IT) Intern who is looking to gain valuable experience and contribute to a professional team environment during the Summer of 2024. This role will help to support the IT Department with day-to-day operations and troubleshooting. In this role you will:

• Assist Application Engineers in developing forms and workflows using Microsoft tools
• Assist in developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI
• Assist in data structures and layouts to support in the application development
• Serve as liaison with clients; participate in meetings to ensure client needs are met
• Respond to user requests, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions
• Record activities, solutions and other responses for service within ticketing system
• Contribute to technical documentation and participate in policy, procedure, and standards development
• Maintain open communication and positive working relationship with peers
• Perform other duties/projects as requested

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must:

• Be a rising junior or senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Be familiar with Windows operating systems
• Be familiar with Power BI and Power Automate processes and procedures
• Be familiar with SharePoint lists and database structures
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Be able to commute and work at our office located in Reston, VA Monday to Friday
• Be fully COVID-19 vaccinated by start date unless medical or religious exceptions apply
• Be a U.S. citizen
