About the Job:
The Compliance Auditor reports to the Senior Compliance Specialist. The Compliance Auditor will be responsible for reviewing all resident files for National CORE.
RES PO NSIBI L I T IES
- Review, complete and ensure all move-in files are reviewed within 24 hours.
- Review, complete and ensure all annual recertification files within 72 hours.
- Assist the Compliance Specialist with lease up's and onsite file reviews as needed.
- Must be able to work some weekends and extended hours as needed.
- Attend company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which from time to time may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.
- Must attend seminars, trainings and workshops related to compliance.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have working knowledge of Windows, Office 2000, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must have working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD and HOME.
- Possess a high attention to detail to conduct file audits onsite and remotely.
- Must be able to prioritize.
- Must be able to work some weekends and extended hours.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehend and follow instructions.
- Be at team player.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Must have 2-5 years previous experience in affordable housing compliance or affordable property management.
- Must be able to pass the Tax Credit and COS certification within 1 year of being hired.
- Yardi experience a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Operate computer and office equipment.
- Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
