Job Description

We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer/Tester to join our client's Information Technology team. In this role, you will work with business analysts and engineers to develop, implement, and test data integration processes. You will be responsible for building and maintaining ETL processes to load data into various databases and data warehouses. This role requires strong technical skills, as well as attention to detail and quality. If you enjoy working with data, have a knack for troubleshooting, and want to enable data-driven decision making, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop ETL processes using tools like ODI to extract data from source systems, transform data, and load into target databases
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions for ETL processes
• Perform integration testing and QA on ETL code to ensure proper data transformation
• Troubleshoot and debug data issues identified during testing
• Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes
• Work with data analysts and engineers to understand business requirements and data needs
• Follow SDLC processes, compliance guidelines, and release management procedures

Required Experience/Skills

• 3+ years experience with ETL architecture, design, and development
• Hands-on experience with ODI or similar ETL tools
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Experience testing and QA processes for ETL
• Knowledge of tools like Informatica, AbInitio, Datastage a plus
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Detail-oriented with focus on quality

Nice-to-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in the energy/utility industry
• Knowledge of Python or Java for ETL
• Experience with Oracle, Teradata, or similar databases
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps processes
• Power BI, SSRS, or business intelligence tools

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
