Job description
IT Systems Administrator (Mechanicsburg, PA)
We are currently looking for an IT Systems Administrator for our client, a Commonwealth of PA entity. This position will be responsible for providing IT services related to the procurement and deployment of specific Vulnerability Scanning Tools and Software.
This is a 40-hour/week, 6-month project, in Mechanicsburg, PA. This position is onsite in Mechanicsburg, PA as the resource may need hands-on hardware. There will; however, be times when the manager is okay with telework when possible.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for responding to support escalations which involve troubleshooting complex technical problems and resolving data/configuration issues within defined service level objectives.
Manage, participate in, or directly work on any additional projects, assignments, or initiatives assigned by management.
Responsible for management, and monitoring of production systems in all environments.
Scripting - Working knowledge of computer programming language (preferred not required)
Delivers support and design for industry-specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications.
Interacts with executive-level business users or technical experts.
Ability to make swift decisions and take initiative to achieve tasks and/or goals.
Is proactive in researching and applying industry best practices and shares knowledge with peers and/or stakeholders.
Effectively and timely communicates information to stakeholders, and presents information professionally in multiple formats.
Requirements:
7+ years of relevant IT experience.
2+ years of experience with working and identifying vulnerability impacts and remediation across all types of operating systems such as Windows using industry-standard tools and platforms.
2+ years of expertise in working with diverse network infrastructures and understanding how each of these elements can impact the security of an organization.
2+ years of experience with performing systems administration in Windows including performing basic troubleshooting, installation or configuration, monitoring system performance or availability, and performing security upgrades.
1+ years of experience with performing software assurance, management, or configuration with security tools.
Experience with Tenable products, including Tenable Security Center and Nessus.
Experience with integrating Cybersecurity data using enterprise or custom data aggregation and analysis tools, and vulnerability management.
Working knowledge of computer programming language.
Bachelor's Degree.
