The Role

The Account Manager, creative thinker and curious, will be primarily responsible for sales, technical consultation, and lead generation in their assigned territory for STERIS products to the Life Sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, vaccine, cell gene, medical device, nutraceutical and related industries). You manage achieving all revenue, gross margin, and product sales objectives established by the Business Unit. In this role, you will participate in the design and implementation of sales strategies, identifies prospects and opportunities presents new concepts and products, calls on Customers, and ensures optimal STERIS experience. Ensuring high customer satisfaction, establishing multi-level relationships with customers, and possessing excellent listening skills is critical for success.  Using company provided sales resources to maximize sales outcomes while providing best solutions to the customer is a key objective. The current territory includes portions of Massachusetts and New York (Upstate). Limited overnight travel will be required to cover the territory, with some additional travel required for training, and other meetings. 

This is a remote based position. To support and service our customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of the following states: Massachusetts

What You Need to Be Successful

Experience

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Scientific Related field, Engineering (both strongly preferred) or Business

  2. Demonstrated history of successful sales performance or cGMP industry related experience required.  (2+yrs)

  3. Experience in consultative selling technical products/services.

  4. Knowledge of regulated industries (cGMP, GLP, or similar)

  5. Involvement with PDA, ISPE or similar industry organization preferred.

  6. Strong understanding of Customer and market dynamics and requirements, with demonstrated ability to expand existing Customer relationships as well as develop new ones.

  7. Experience using current CRMs.

  8. Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
