Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality? CoralTree is seeking an exceptional Regional VP of Finance to join our dynamic team. The Regional VP of Finance will lead and support the Finance and Accounting functions of a portfolio of assigned hotel properties while acting as a strategic business partner to Property Executive Committee Members and other Regional Team Members and will be a key member of the CoralTree Hospitality Finance Leadership team. This position is responsible for optimizing asset value for the assigned portfolio while ensuring that internal controls are in place, risk at the properties is mitigated and financial reporting is accurate and timely. The ideal candidate will have experience with complicated hotel and resort assets, including food and beverage, spa, golf, etc. This person will be adept at building a strong financial team, including recruiting and coaching, and be a cultural ambassador, and a strategic thinker.
- Conduct regular and thorough financial reviews for portfolio of hotels, including but not limited to: monthly financial operating statements, cash flow reports, monthly forecasts, balance sheets and capital budget expenditures. Analyze the variances and trends as a result of this evaluation. Ensure that financial statements are accurate and timely. Alert the CoralTree Operations and Finance leaders, as deemed necessary on significant variances from budget, forecast and internal control standards.
- Optimize value for the portfolio of properties by initiating process improvements in conjunction with the property Executive Teams, that will enhance expense management and result in optimal profit flow through.
- Lead, train and coach CoralTree property Directors of Finance to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis.
- Partner with the Property Executive Committee Members to ensure budgeting and forecasting deadlines are achieved, processes are optimized and that the properties are achieving forecasting accuracy targets.
- Develop and nurture the important relationship with the owners and lenders of the properties. Ensure that the properties are responsive and compliant with required owner reporting and that they respond quickly to questions and requests. The Regional Director of Finance will also be a direct resource to owners and lenders and will attend owner meetings on an as needed basis. Ensure compliance with debt and lease requirements.
- 5+ years minimum multi property experience in a decentralized independent hotel environment.
- 10 years minimum previous on-site property Director of Finance experience in full-service properties or other relevant Financial leadership experience.
- Experience with Oracle ERP and report writing software and/or other ERP systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and experienced with complicated financial models.
- Minimum requirement Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. MBA, CPA preferred.
- Experience with complicated assets, including food and beverage, spa, and golf. Experience with memberships, condos, and Home Owner Associations a plus.
- Superb team management and coaching skills in a positive and constructive process.
- Drive for continuous improvement in a finance and service environment.
- Ability to be hands on, tactical, and strategic.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and commitment in regard to deliverables and deadlines.
- Highly responsive to owners, guests and employees. Owns the work product and is committed to the quality, accuracy and timeliness thereof.
- Moderate to High travel required.
Preferred work location: Englewood Home Office. Candidate should be based near our office, a west coast travel hub, or willing to relocate.
Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000/yr. + bonus
