Job description
Bungie is looking for a collaborative wordsmith to support our editorial efforts on our upcoming title, Marathon.

But you can't do it alone. Your role is interdisciplinary and interactive. As Editor, you are part of the connective tissue between Narrative, Dialog, Cinematics, Localization, and more—all of the teams at Bungie that work together to create our stories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide content and copy-editing coverage for all forms of public-facing text
Assist narrative leadership in the creation and upkeep of authoritative documentation in the form of style guides, lore bible, glossaries, etc., as well as document-control best practices
Ensure content across all in-game channels adheres to the established tone of the IP
Manage vendors’ onboarding and assignments
Track projects and communicates risk, status, scope, etc. to production during opening and closing plans as well as sprint demos
Define and drive ongoing improvements to editorial processes and best practices
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to deliver AAA quality content under tight deadlines
Masterful command of the English language—composition, grammar, style, etc.
Excellent communication skills, time management, and high emotional intelligence
High attention to detail
Commitment to iterative improvement
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
B.A. in English, Creative Writing, Communications, or a related field
Proven record of collaboration in highly interdisciplinary environments
Experience with proprietary game engines and tools
Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
Interest and knowledge of games
Listed below is this role's base pay range within the greater Seattle area. In other locations approved for remote work by Bungie and our external resource vendors, this pay range may be adjusted to the local market and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly),
This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range
$92,000—$111,000 USD
Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:
20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked
Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.
