Sports Medicine Technical Service Representative

If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our Technical Services team!  In this role as a Sports Medicine Technical Service Representative, you will be an active onsite line of support for external customers and internal sales reps of Smith & Nephew.

What will you be doing?

• Your primary responsibilities will include fielding incoming inquiries via phone and email and offering high quality technical support to the Sports Medicine sales organization and end users (surgeons, nurses, operating room staff)
• Activity participating in continuous education courses to gain proficiency in over 20,000 products in the Smith+Nephew Sports Medicine catalog and training field on new applications and products
• Interfacing with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide the best product information and solutions to the customer
• Report trends of types of service request, response time and resolutions to marketing, R&D and service teams

What will you need to be successful?

As the technical experience for the Sports Medicine product portfolio, you will be working wide a wide variety of products. This role requires a combination of highly technical understanding of the products while also providing clear, concise and often urgent solutions to customers.

• Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a clinical setting as a Surgical / Operating Room Technician or in Technical Service Support role in the medical device industry
• Physical Demands: Ability to work in an office environment and operate a computer for extended periods of time.  Lift and/or transport boxes for storage requirements weighing 40+ lbs.

Due to training & onboarding, you will be expected to work in the Andover, MA Smith+Nephew office for the first 3 months and will then transition to a hybrid working model (in-office 1-2 days per week).
