We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to join our fast-paced team at QinetiQ US. In this collaborative role, you will get a chance to learn important skills and gain professional experience by working on campaigns with our corporate marketing and communications (MarCom) team and our Intelligence & Cyber – Information Advantage Business Unit. Our ideal intern candidate has a desire to learn, a creative mind, and analytical skills to execute and analyze digital marketing programs for social media, email, research, and more. The Marketing Intern will be part of a fast-growth company with the opportunity to interact with senior leaders and to make an impact as part of a high-trust performance culture.

• Work closely with Marketing Manager, Marketing Coordinators, Graphic Designers , and IC-IA team on critical marketing projects
• Perform content and audience audits to identify business opportunities and new content possibilities
• Perform market research to inform an IC-IA social media strategy
• Ideate new content for blogs and articles as relevant to the Intelligence Community
• Learn how to write division-wide communications, social media posts, and more
• Collect and present data analytics to inform content strategy
• Conduct robust research across proprietary databases/tools and strategic-marketing analysis & idea-development for key categories
• Craft compelling proposals on why Intelligence Community clients should choose QinetiQ Inc. (digital online advertising)
• Contribute to the development of client-facing materials including programming one-sheets, case studies, and presentations, ensuring a compelling “so what?” is included in every story
• Enhance external communications to include producing content for the website, press releases, and more

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, etc.)
• Direct experience or internship with digital analytics, research, brand, integrated marketing, and/or digital marketing is a plus
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communications with proven ability to work collaboratively with other functional groups to shape and influence market-specific agendas
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask/prioritize based on urgency
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and lead through influence, including a strong sense of when to take action, delegate, and escalate
• Positive attitude and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to craft and tell a compelling story
• Must be able to work independently with little managerial oversight on a project basis and meet frequent deadlines
• Excellent team and project management skills
• Strong “sense of urgency” and interest in stretching to the next level
• Demonstrate innovative thinking and new ideas

• Comfort in learning new tools (Sharepoint, Google Analytics, Wordpress, Hootsuite)
