Job description

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Neurology (Hospitalist) - This bustling private practice, 70 miles east of Nashville, is seeking board certified|board Neurologist to serve as a Neuro-hospitalist. The regional medical center is a primary stroke center, serving a mix of general neurology, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, brain injury and ALS patients. There is also an opportunity to conduct sleep studies if interested. Full-service regional hub providing most surgical services, including Neurosurgery.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Only Work 17 1|2 weeks per year
Join Two Other Neuro-Hospitalists
1 Week On, 2 Weeks Off
Typical Day on site is from 7:00A -6:00P
Call is mostly patients already in house or new admits
No overnight ED call. Covered by Vanderbilt Tele-Neurology
Average of five to seven new consults per day & 9-10 follow up consults
Trauma transferred to Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville
Primary Stoke Center
Hospital EMR is Paragon
ED census of 53,000 per year
State-of-the-art neuro- imaging capabilities (MRI, CT, CTA, Nuclear Camera & PET), evoked potentials diagnostics, EEG & EMG

The medical center is a 247-bed regional referral center, servicing more than 350,000 residents in the region.
