The State of New Hampshire, Department of Business and Economic Affairs has a full-time vacancy for Accountant II.
Summary:
To develop accounting methods and monitor the accounting activities for the Department of Business and Economic Affairs and works with Fiscal / Governor & Council (G & C) items.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in accounting or business administration. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Two years' experience in accounting or auditing work, including some experience in a supervisory capacity. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Must possess a valid driver’s license for statewide travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with governmental accounting standards a plus. Excellent analytical and cognitive skills and ability to communicate well with both financial and non-financial personnel. Knowledge of financial and analytical procedures and methods, audit and compliance practices.
