Account Executive (PR Agency Sales)

Location: Ideally, we prefer this role to be based out of our El Segundo office (hybrid). We envision you working in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, with flexibility to work from home on Monday and Friday. Our office address is 2321 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 2200, El Segundo, CA 90245. However, remote work is also feasible for candidates based in other parts of California.

Alternatively, this role can be located in New York City (hybrid), with 3 days per week spent at our NYC office: 1350 Broadway, Suite 2500, NYC 10018.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our New Logo Agency sales team, focusing on PR agency sales. This role can be based in our Chicago, San Francisco, El Segundo, Boston, or New York City office. For candidates without an office within 25 miles, permanent remote work is an option.

As a pivotal component of our enterprise growth strategy, the Account Executive will be responsible for penetrating new agency accounts, fostering key strategic relationships, and generating revenue through agency partnerships. Your responsibilities will include prioritizing assigned prospect agencies, selling into these accounts, and expanding and activating the agency channel. This role presents an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact and establish yourself in a rapidly growing company. Responsibilities:

Build and manage a pipeline of self-generated agency opportunities.
Employ a methodical approach to time management and the sales process, with a focus on opportunity qualification.
Prioritize qualified sales opportunities and key prospects within the assigned territory.
Execute the sales cycle to penetrate promising agency accounts, generating net new revenue and relationships.
Identify and cultivate multi-threaded relationships across the agency organization.
Establish a reputation with assigned agencies as a trusted advisor with deep industry knowledge and understanding of their solution needs.
Proactively identify potential agency needs and recommend best-fit solutions with a clear value proposition.
Develop and maintain an expert understanding of [Company Name]'s solutions and a general understanding of relevant competitor solutions.
Research and actively identify emerging trends that impact [Company Name]'s value proposition.
Develop and execute an agency activation strategy to grow newly acquired agency business.
Proactively manage the pipeline, inputting, monitoring, and updating opportunities in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Sales Engineering resources, as needed, to close deals.
Coordinate timely involvement of sales operations resources in the sales cycle to improve efficiencies.
Achieve assigned bookings quota.
Prioritize face-to-face meetings over remote meetings wherever possible.
Engage in networking meetings to develop market and influencer community.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, information technology, or a related field.
5-7 years of sales experience, specifically selling into net new agency accounts or an existing agency book of business.
Proven track record of achieving quota and meeting activity targets (KPI).
Strong cold-calling, networking, prospecting, and deal-closing abilities.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the PR/IR industry.
Self-starter with excellent time-management skills.
Superior relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience delivering compelling presentations to large audiences.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, up to 2 weeks per month.
