Assembler-Packing Floater Job Description About the Company TACO Comfort Solutions, a 103 year old, third-generation family-owned global company based in Cranston, RI, engineers and manufactures high-efficiency indoor heating, cooling, and plumbing comfort systems. Our expertise, products, and support save our customers energy, money, and resources while improving their indoor environmental quality. Job Description The Assembler-Packing Floater will be responsible for various tasks related to the assembly and packaging of products. Job Responsibilities: Perform bench assembly operations on a variety of products, following standard practices and procedures. Make prescribed tests and checks after the completion of each operation to assure quality, including final assembly testing. Uses go and no-go gauges to measure height. Use torque wrench, drill press, bench press and a variety of jigs and fixtures as may be necessary. Visually inspect parts for defects and repair defects as required to bring pieces to acceptable quality level. Visually check for quality; may label, mark, tag and package finished product. Place work on skids. Jobs include, but are not limited to the following; zone valve body assembly/test, PRV line assembly/test, and non-electric assembly/test, Flo-check assembly/test, leak-breaker assembly/test. Maintain necessary records. Move materials as necessary in the performance of job or as directed. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) system to access production and resource data. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively apply to assigned work. Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, and including standing and lifting. Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes. Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Essential Qualifications: Prior experience in assembly and packaging roles is preferred Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Strong attention to detail and quality assurance Basic knowledge of machinery and equipment used in assembly and packaging Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Lifting up to 50lbs twisting turning repetitive motions. Long periods standing or sitting Desired Experience: No prior experience necessary Start pay is $21.06 TACO provides all PPE except steel toe safety shoes. Selected employees must arrive in those shoes.
