Position: Tele Nurse
Location: Neptune, NJ
Duration: 3 Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Tele Nurse. The Tele Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This position requires the ability to plan, implement, and document nursing care based on the patient's needs, as well as identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The Tele Nurse will develop, implement, and coordinate an individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments. Additionally, the Tele Nurse will perform therapeutic nursing interventions, manage patient care, document care based on standards of care and practice, and advocate for evidence-based practice care standards.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient’s needs.
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments.
- Initiate assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manage care of patients.
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.
- Must have a strong Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) background.
