Prepress Technician (Printing Production)

Prepress Technician:
Prepress technicians set the foundation for successful printing production. They ensure that the proper format, appearance, and layout of text and images is set before the full print run for newspapers, magazines, brochures, catalogs, packaging materials or labels is completed. Prepress technicians take electronic files and import them into specialized software, making color, text, and digital image corrections as needed.
Shift work is common, as is overtime in order to meet deadlines, also some weekends if needed.

Education
High School, GED recommended. Higher Education a plus but not a requirement.

Job Skills
Good communication skills, ability to troubleshoot and address customer concerns, good eyesight, and attention to detail.

Salary
Negotiable

Skills Required
Adobe Suite skills are a must. Prepress technicians require effective communication, troubleshooting prepress problems or addressing management or customer concerns. Prepress technicians need good eyesight and attention to detail for color and text proofing.

Shifts
1st shift M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm
2nd shift M-F 2:00pm – 11:30pm
