Job description

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for our South Ogden Location. The position is for a corporate office that supports multiple same owner businesses. We have been in business for many years and plan to continue to grow the companies. We are searching for an individual who can help make the companies successful and grow with us.

We are looking for somebody who would like a long term position. We are listing this position as part time. It does have the likely potential to move to full time in the future as more tasks are learned if desired. We do have the ability to be somewhat flexible with the hours.

As the Accounting assistant, you will be processing Accounts Payable, and also handling various other financial tasks. Your responsibilities will include providing support to the accounts payable team and helping with communications with vendors, and processing transactions and updating ledgers. There will also be assistance with financial reports and worker's comp audits. Helping manage employee files and help with open enrollments will also be part of the duties.

We are seeking somebody who is good with details, organizational skills, and is seeking a long term opportunity. Accuracy in work is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Act as the primary for processing weekly payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment due dates. Also to b e the second set of eyes on invoices entered an d obtain necessary approvals, Conduct vendor balance reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records. Set up and manage ACH payments. Work with vendors to establish ACH payment arrangements. Reconcile credit card statements on a regular basis. Investigate and resolve any discrepa ncies or errors in reconciliation. Collaborate with relevant departments or companies to gather necessary information for bill paying. Manage and setup new accounts for vendors May help enter sales Journal entries Work with individuals to acquire expense receipts
